Driver Terms & Conditions
By accepting any booking from Signature Ride, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to comply with these Driver Terms & Conditions while carrying out work on our behalf.
1. Driver Status
Drivers working with Signature Ride do so as independent contractors. Nothing within these terms shall be deemed to create an employment relationship, partnership, or agency between you and Signature Ride.
2. Licences, Compliance and Eligibility
You must hold a valid UK driving licence, a current PCO licence, and all other documentation required by local authorities to legally operate as a private hire driver. It is your responsibility to ensure all licences, badges, and documents remain valid at all times. Any suspension, expiry, or restriction must be reported to Signature Ride immediately. Updated documents must be provided upon request.
3. Professional Conduct
Drivers are expected to act professionally, courteously, and discreetly at all times. Clients must be treated with respect and provided with a calm, high-quality chauffeur service. Where applicable, drivers should assist with luggage, open doors and have an umbrella ready. Any behaviour that may damage the reputation of Signature Ride may result in immediate removal from future bookings.
4. Vehicle Standards and Branding
Vehicles used for Signature Ride bookings must be presented to an executive standard at all times. The vehicle must be spotless inside and out, free from dirt, crumbs, clutter, or unpleasant odours. Vehicles must be equipped with working iOS and Android charging cables, bottled water (Evian or equivalent), and napkins for passenger use.
While carrying out bookings for Signature Ride, no third-party branding, business cards, QR codes, promotional material, or signage from other operators may be displayed in or on the vehicle under any circumstances, including subtle or indirect promotion.
Any driver found to be in breach of this requirement will receive no payment for the booking being undertaken at the time of the breach and will be immediately removed from the Signature Ride platform. Signature Ride also reserves the right to notify partner operators and request suspension of the driver from other platforms with which Signature Ride works.
Where required, drivers must use the official Signature Ride nameboard and represent Signature Ride exclusively for the duration of the booking.
5. Dress Code
Drivers must maintain a smart, elegant, and professional appearance. This includes a dark suit (navy or black), a white or light blue shirt with a closed collar, a dark tie, and dark polished shoes. Personal grooming must be neat and appropriate for a luxury chauffeur service.
6. Fitness to Drive and Safety
Drivers must be fully fit to drive for the duration of each booking. Driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any substance that may impair judgement, reaction time, or alertness is strictly prohibited. Drivers are expected to drive safely, lawfully, and with due regard to road and traffic conditions at all times.
7. Bookings and Communication
All bookings must be accepted, confirmed, and completed as instructed by Signature Ride. Punctuality is essential. Drivers must arrive at pickup locations at least 10 minutes before the pick-up time and remain contactable throughout the booking. Any anticipated delays, issues, or changes must be communicated immediately through the agreed channels.
8. Waiting Time Policy
For airport pick-ups, customers are entitled to 60 minutes of complimentary waiting time from the confirmed landing time. Once this free period has elapsed, any additional waiting time will be payable to the driver in 15-minute increments, charged at the agreed waiting rate.
For standard (non-airport) bookings, customers are entitled to 15 minutes of complimentary waiting time from the scheduled pickup time. Any waiting time beyond this allowance will be payable to the driver in 5-minute increments, charged at the agreed waiting rate.
Drivers are expected to remain available during waiting periods and to keep Signature Ride informed of extended delays.
9. Insurance and Legal Responsibility
Drivers are solely responsible for ensuring that their vehicle is insured for private hire use and that all legal, regulatory, and licensing requirements are met at all times. Signature Ride will ask for proof of insurance and compliance at any given time while undergoing bookings.
10. Confidentiality and Data Protection
All client information, booking details, and personal data must be treated as strictly confidential. Drivers must not disclose, retain, or misuse any client or journey information beyond what is necessary to complete the service.
11. Reliability and Cancellations
Reliability is fundamental to the Signature Ride service. By accepting a booking, you are committing to complete it as agreed.
Drivers must mark themselves as “on route” betwen 60-90 minutes before the scheduled booking start time. Failure to do so may result in removal from the booking.
Any cancellation made by a driver less than two (2) hours before the scheduled booking start time will result in permanent suspension from the Signature Ride platform, regardless of reason, except where prevented by a genuine emergency supported by evidence and accepted at Signature Ride’s sole discretion.
Late cancellations, no-shows, failure to arrive on time, or failure to complete accepted bookings may also lead to immediate suspension or termination from the platform.
11.1 Customer Cancellations (Driver Payment)
If a booking is cancelled by the customer less than four (4) hours but more than two (2) hours before the scheduled start time, the driver will be paid a 50% cancellation fee.
If a booking is cancelled by the customer less than two (2) hours before the scheduled start time or once the driver is on route (for long-distance bookings), the booking will be paid in full to the driver.
12. Termination
Signature Ride reserves the right to suspend or terminate a driver’s access to bookings immediately in the event of serious misconduct, unsafe driving, regulatory non-compliance, breach of these terms, or substantiated client complaints.
13. Changes to Terms
Signature Ride may amend these Driver Terms & Conditions from time to time. Continued acceptance of bookings following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
